A local fire fighter who volunteers for both South Cle Elum and District 7 fire departments has been out of work since last summer due to a car accident.  He and his wife have five kids ranging in age from 2 years old to 15 years old.  We are collecting donations for the family, along with the local fire departments, to provide Christmas gifts for the family.  If you are able to help you can donate in the camp office, or you can contact Carol or Crystal.  Thank you

The Kittitas County Commissioners held a meeting yesterday (5-20-09) at 2pm
regarding  the proposed RV ordinance that was sent to you by email.
The Caretakers, several embers, and our attorney were present at the

meeting.

The Prosecuting Attorneys Office had a representative there that spoke
and requested that the ordinance be tabled at this time.  The
Prosecuting

Attorneys Office is planning to revise the COMPREHENSIVE CODE at a
later date, and  will announce when the Public Hearing will be held

regarding the situation.  This will occur somewhere around September,

October, or November (most likely November) of this year.  Our

attorney spoke and pointed out that the ordinance was written poorly,
and he submitted paperwork to the Prosecuting Attorneys Office to use

as a guideline when they start their work on the COMPREHENSIVE plan.
The Caretakers also gave our petition and signatures to the
Prosecuting Attorneys Office for review.
